Reports To: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Position: Part Time (approximately 15-25 hours per week) Location: Various locations Pay Range: Starting at $16/hr
Description: This position of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works directly with Clearwater ABA’s pediatric clients in home and community settings to implement behavior and skill building programs. RBTs apply the principles of behavior analysis to teach learners key skills that will have a positive impact on their life. The RBT is responsible for monitoring the environment and maintaining safety at all times. They are also responsible for implementing programs, building learner motivation, and taking data on each program as it is being run. Other duties of an RBT: Carry out therapy sessions with clients in their home, community; apply ABA techniques and strategies, ensure safety of clients, collect data & document progress, communicate with treatment team, attend team meetings on a regular basis.
Our services include: ABA services for children and youths ages 2-18 years old.
Required Qualifications:
Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) in good standing
At least 18 years old and have, at minimum, completed high school or equivalent.
Current Basic Life Support or CPR certification
Reliable Transportation
Experience working/volunteering with children with disabilities and children on the autism spectrum.
No prior criminal history.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working towards or has obtained a degree in Psychology, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field.
Knowledge of Autism and other developmental disorders
Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis preferred
Previous experience working with children
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Energetic and enthusiast
Passion for helping children achieve their full potential
Ability to work on a team and independently
Willing to learn and implement new skills
Must be able to:
Play with our learners and be fun, energetic, and silly
Frequently stand
Frequently walk
Regularly sit in a chair or on the floor
Frequently engage in Fine Motor tasks
Frequently reach with hands and arms
Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Regularly speak and hear
See near and far distances and distinguish colors
Cope with noise level that is most times moderate, but will occasionally get
